Investments do rise and do fall in value and we strongly advise that professional advice is taken before investing your money
Why save money, in the world that I live in (southeast England 2017) and I am a financial adviser in Ascot Berkshire, I would say that it buys freedom, it buys time with your loved ones.
We have all heard people say, ‘I live for today’, ‘I will never have enough money to do anything meaningful’, ‘I can’t make ends meet’, ‘I don’t care about money’, yes I hear you but these are the voices of failure. If you stand back and look at your peers, they are all going on holiday’s, having great lifestyles, as ‘featured’ on Facebook (sarcasm) and have fantastic brand new cars parked on the drive and they must all be on fantastic salaries, how do they do it, I don’t think I earn bad money you say? The reality, for the majority, they have very little assets to their name (it’s an illusion), they borrow money for everything (HP clothes/credit card debt), lease a car (that’s a loan), credit cards with outstanding balances suffering high interest rates, massive mortgages (unfortunately this is a necessary evil), overdrafts to survive to next pay day, hand outs from 'bank of mum & dad' I could go on, you would conclude the best job would be a money lender as everyone wants your product, but that’s a different conversation. It seems like the ‘system’ is built on our weakness to consume and get instant gratification by spending, just look around you, I believe that vast majority of people are destined to a life of work and never retiring. I believe that with a bit of thought and planning, you can enjoy life and build a better future, perhaps with even more special ‘moments’, than taking no action…. Think about it and if you want a better life, start by ‘building a path to a better future’.
